Information we collect

• Automatic: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, pages viewed).
• Analytics: aggregated usage via Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. Umami does not use cookies, does not track users across websites, and does not collect personal information. See the Umami project for details.
• Calculator + tool interactions: when you use our Weight Calculator, Loadout Builder, or NIJ Armor Guide, we log aggregate event data (e.g. total weight computed, load class) through Umami. These events carry no personal identifiers.
• Affiliate networks: retailer partners set cookies when you click their buy links; these identify the referral to credit the sale.

What we don't collect

• We do not run user accounts or collect personal data on this site (yet).
• We do not sell or rent visitor data.
• We do not run retargeting / behavioral advertising.
• Our analytics provider (Umami) does not use cookies or fingerprint browsers across sites.

Third parties

When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site and the retailer's privacy policy applies. We link primarily to Primary Arms, Brownells, Optics Planet, and similar established retailers.

Cookies

Our analytics pipeline (Umami) is cookieless. Affiliate network cookies are set only when you click a retailer link. You may block cookies in your browser; most of the site works fine without them.

Your rights

If you're in a jurisdiction with data-subject rights (GDPR / CCPA), you may request access to, deletion of, or a copy of any data we hold about you. Email us to exercise these rights.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when the policy changes. Material changes get called out in a site notice.
