The Advanced Coated plate features impact-isolating tiled ceramic that is the standard for all Guard Dog Body Armor Ceramic Plate Products as well as front and rear aramid sheets to reduce spalling and decrease back face deformation even further. Tested to exceed NIJ 0101.06 standards by the NTS Belcamp facility with additional strike face coverage of .25 on each side there is additional weight to these Level 4 Plates compared to our standard popular IVPLATE model taking them from the 5.7lb plate of our standard offering to 6.5lbs per plate. Sized at 10x12x1 these fit most traditional plate carriers though we always recommend using Guard Dog Body Armor Shepard Trakr Pro or Cerberus Plate Carriers.
